the idea...
This game is intended for the ID group with the most severe intellectual disability.
It is therefore intended to be played with assistance, at least for the start of the game. It can be played by 1 person alone - or be played as a 2 player game, each player taking charge of 1 side of the game (left/right black bar and their corresponding half of the screen/projection).
This could also possibly be implemented to work across 2 computers (full or split screen) within the same room - or across the internet. The complexity of the game goes no further than awarding correct action with visual feedback in the form of colours, shapes and sound.
the game...
Taking the classic ping pong game - we aim to make it accessible to play for users with ID using the standard switches. Though a 2 player game - there is no winning or losing but merely a progressively visually and acoustically enhanced game, ie the better a player performs required actions - the more changes will happen to the game. This will be the case even if only one player manages to successfully perform the actions.
